We’re Cem and Meric. We grew up together and have been part of the hospitality world from a young age. Our roots are in a family where hospitality has always come first, founded by Mustafa Kara, who has opened several restaurants in Utrecht since 1999. Names many people will know include Het Zuiden (Mariastraat), De Eetkamer (Steenweg), De Artisjok (Nieuwegracht), Karaf on Lange Nieuwstraat and Loof on Domplein.
For us, hospitality is about people. About warmth, personal attention and creating a place where everyone feels welcome. Whether you’re here for lunch, a long dinner or an evening that runs late — we want you to leave Karaf feeling good.
